The time has come my friends, we are ready to hit the road to funky town. The rest of our planning went well with no problems, and we added Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico to our stops, which looks outrageous.
As a whole, we aren't nervous, but I did have a nightmare the other day: Bears. Bears coming into our tent and going wild with our meaty bodies. I told my sister about this nightmare, and all she had to say was "Oh my god, bears attacked our car in Vermont when we were camping looking for the food". Thanks Phillis, you're really reassuring.
We do have an intimidation station in the back of our car, a baseball bat, pepper spray, and a field hockey stick. But I doubt people will be trying to attack us once they see our greasy hair, that itself is a weapon.
So Rae, Amie, and Sylvia (that's our sick whip), are ready to hit the dusty trail. First stop Niagara Falls.
